2016-01-21 20.00.48On the last day of South Woodham Evangelical Church Week of Prayer 18-22 January, Chelmsford 24-7 Prayer we set up our Portable Prayer Space within the church for 12 hours, 8.30 am to 8.30 pm.

The Church also provided a number of prayer stations, which was brilliant!

Around 30 people came and went during that day to pray over the town of Sourth Woodham Ferrers, over Chelmsford City and rural areas, our nation and out to the world.

There were also 3 periods of corporate prayer and reflection with communion during the day.

This was a great opportunity to encourage unity, through prayer, between the Christians in and around the town of South Woodham Ferrers, with those in the wider District of Chelmsford.

We also welcomed a couple of visiting Baptist leaders from further afield, and one of them Rev. Nick Lear, Baptist Regional Leader wrote on his Blog about the day. He started,

“…personally find it a lot easier to spend time in prayer if I have activities to engage with. Spending time in silent prayer and meditation is good but I find it hard work (not that hard work is wrong!). I lose concentration, my mind drifts and, if I am completely honest, I can get a bit bored….”
