Reconciliation, Renewal and Revival

Week of Prayer Oct 2015 poster snip

From midnight Sunday 4 to Midnight Saturday 10 October, we asked local Christians to again become involved with Christians all over the City and surrounding area, in our second Week of Prayer over Chelmsford and District. (First Week of Prayer March 2015 see here).

Using our on-line calendar, a total of 141/168 hours were filled with prayer by people from 42 churches and Christian groups. Around 50 people also attended our 5 Prayer Spaces, open during various hours at different venues, including Chelmsford Cathedral.

You can see some photos of our Prayer Spaces here.

A very big thank you to everyone who has been involved. God has heard our cries over our Church, our lives and our City and the answers to our prayers are most certainly in progress.

..

The theme of our second Week of Prayer was:

Reconciliation – Through Jesus Christ, The Church in our Nation is being called to stand firmly together in much greater love and unity. (John 13:34-35)

Renewal – As Christians we need an encounter with the Glory of God, for the life changing message of Jesus to shake our churches and revolutionise our lives

Revival – Through renewed love for God, for each other and fervent prayer which sends us out of the four walls of our church buildings with a desire for mission, God will send a transforming, Holy Spirit led Revival upon our communities.
